Her goal was to acquire the academic knowledge necessary to turn her long-held passion into a career. Her current success as the owner of Cafe Punto, Chef Gomez's journey is a testament to the power of hard work and dedication. Despite facing numerous challenges, including language barriers, financial constraints, and health issues overcoming fibromyalgia and Osteoarthritis of the Cervical Spine, Chef Gomez refused to give up on her dreams.

The closure of her first business, Dulce and Sal, due to health issues could have been a setback, but instead, it led to the creation of Cafe Punto, a new venture that showcases her signature empanadas and savory pastries.
